About me

I am Professor Yohanna Gyang Jugu.
A ,
Nigerian citizen, from Plateau State, and currently a Lecturer and the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, University Jos, Plateau State, and a managing partner of Y. G. Jugu & Co. Chatered Accountants, Jos. An Accounting Firm that renders Financial Statements Auditing, Tax Consulting Services, Assets Valuation and Fraud Investigation.

I went to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, where I obtained a Ph.D in Accountancy in 2013, after obtaining first and second degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Jos in 2001 and 2007, respectively. I am a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) and a Certified Forensic Accountant(CFA) of the same Institute. I am also a fellow of Certified Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria

Over fifteen years experience in financial Accounting and Tax advisory services with wide range of experience in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, tax audits, actuarial valuation and classifications, Staff trainings(Human Capital Development) among others.

Providing professional financial audits, Forensic accounting services and special investigations to several public and private organisations, including institutions of learning, cutting across several states and Local Government Councils in Nigeria .

University Lecturer

Teaches several courses in Nigerian Universities and other higher institutions of learning. Other Work Experience

An internal audit and forensic accounting services of BOM multipurpose cooperative, Jos and ABC cooperative societies respectively were among the first assignments undertaken. Then followed with Bank Reconciliations and Special investigations of Ashaka Cement Plc, Gombe, and tax audits of Bokkos Local Government Council of Plateau State and Swan Paint (Nigeria) Limited.

Also, assignments that have undertaken included financial and forensic audits of Hill International model schools and Hill College of Education, Jos; Elohim Bilingual International School, African Concert and Services Ltd, Jos; Bassa Local Government Council, Bokkos Local Government Council, Shendam Local Government Council and Pankshin Local Government Council; Plateau State Hospitals Management Board, Jos; Plateau State Water Board Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Jos. Others include University of Jos Consultancy Ltd for three consecutive years, Wikki Hotels, Bauchi and Bauchi State Sport Council.

Plateau State Internal Revenue Service, Shendam Local Government Council, Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board, nine (9) Local Government Education Authorities which include: Pankshin, Kanke, Kanam, Langtang North, Langtang South, Shendam, Quan’pan. Jugu, was engaged in 2010/2011 and 2013/2014 project years on sole consultancy works by the Plateau State Community and Social Development Agency, Jos and the auditing of Presbyterian Church, Jos Parish for six consecutive years.
